    Default I am back.

After a break I am back. Lot's of stress here over the last 12 months and things have not got any better. To add to the affairs on Chrismas Eve the washing machine did not turn off and overflowed flooding all downstairs . I have a two story house, Living downstairs, sleeping etc upstairs.

Four inches of water throughout and not discovered for a few hours. Fortunately, we are insured. Some inital problems with the first builder appointed and their co ordinators but fortunately we had a very understanding Loss Assesor who was caring and mindful of the stress we were under. First builder sacked before starting and new company called in who have been great.

Place is in turmoil. Exxpensive, top of the line, floating floors removed and new one installed. Kitchen cabinets written off , new ones installed, new skirting boards installed. We have 150 mm tas oak moulded boards, not cheap Bunnings maranti crap.

We have brick and solid plaster walls, A lot of the plaster had to be repaired, And the whole of downstairs is in the middle of being repainted. Some valuable Antigue wall to wall and flooring to ceiling cupboards, bookshelves and tropy cabinet had to be dismantled and repaired.

Everything had to be removed from downstairs and almost living out of suitcases.

    ---
Now, the good news. We will at least have a completly refurbished downstairs, The Insurance pays for the majority but we have some extra expense because we took the opportunity to get a new oven, fridge etc.

My toymaking was coming to an end because my first grandson is a bit older now but last week No 1 daughter told me she is expecting her first child in October. so looks like I am back in business again.

She is having a girl. Most of the toys I have seen here are for boys, which was great for my grandson, now I have to do some research for girls.

Glad to hear you are back Pete. And congratulations on a new grandchild. Can't wait to see what you cook up. Doll house maybe?

    Welcome back Pete.
    Daughters, grand-daughters all sound great.
Plenty of toys for girls, prams, high chairs, cots, iron boards, barbie house, cars, trucks, garages were all made for my girls and are still around.
    Enjoy the toymaking.
    Enjoy the grand-daughter.
    Cheers, crowie
