Default Ambitious Build, Worlds largest Chamberlain tractor.

This has probably been my most ambitious build to date, a previous customer wanted a model of the worlds largest Chamberlain tractor which his father built. It is located in the mallee region of SA.
i worked of eight photos to get the scale and come up with the design, some licence taken but I think she’s pretty recognisable as the real thing. I’m learning as I go along, these are the first two part wheels I have done.
Approx 30 hours gone into it, it is completely made of timber, 750mm long, 270mm wide and 220mm high.

WOW Glenn, that is a beauty.

I love working off photos as well - as long as you can get a datum point for your scaling.

    TOP JOB mate

    Regards

    Keith

Thanks Keith, yes it was a challenge but good fun to build, customer has picked it up already and is so pleased he thinks i might need to build two more!
Going to build some more substantial jigs for making the wheels and upgrade my table saw blade to a triple chip.

    WOW, WOW and wow Glenn!

That is one amazing brilliant model and the fact it's scratch built from photo just makes it even better.
Sir, you are one clever craftsman indeed, well done!
    Cheers, Peter

PS - I just wish the photos were bigger to see all that great detail!
