Smile My First Attempt - Gorilla Toy

Hi all, I've never done any wood work before. I recently started a BA in education with ITD one of my subjects. Our first assignment was to make a wooden toy. I went for a gorilla with elastic joints. It was a huge learning process but I got there in the end. Please ignore the mess in the background.

    That's your first attempt?
Imagine what you will be producing in the future.
    Well done, looks great.

thanks Phil. I wish i could say it was easy, but so hard. much of the shaping was with a rotary sander. Haven't figured out how to use proper hand tools yet.

I have no tools at home. any tips on what to get first considering I'm on a very poor student budget?

Looks great. A scroll saw may help you in that kind of work. Well done.
    Reality is no background music.
