    Default Blackboard and painting easel

It was my little girl's second birthday today and I'd made this easel for her. I knew I was going to do this one day since before her birth.

It's nothing particularly special...just colorful and a heck of a lot of fun to use. One side is a blackboard and the other is for clipping big sheets of paper to for painting (when she's older and not likely to wear/drink all the paint). It was also an excuse to play with a pocket hole jig I've had sitting around for months. There is a brace in the middle, held with loose dowel rods, to stop it closing and crushing fingers if she manages to pull it over.

    ...and she loves it

I like the safety feature, little hands are tender and they have to last a long time.
I was able to get "roll-ends" from a newspaper printer. My kids could paint and draw/color
    as much as they liked.
The opportunity for creativity is certainly there in a better easel than I could ever make.

Great work RSG, looks like I'm going to have to add it to my list of things to make for the kids!

Nice little easel Should see her out for a little while and if she wants to carry on painting you could make some leg extension as she grows
