Default Block Cart for the Boys & Girls Club Christmas raffle

Block Cart for the Boys & Girls Club Christmas raffle which will be filled with all sorts of goodies.....530mm x 370mm....

The side are made from Cypress Pine flooring which has been glued and doweled.
The base is 12mm ply which is glued and pinned.
The handles are 60x24mm Tassie Oak glued and screwed along with the 22mm dowel for the handle.
The wheels are Red Gum approx 100mm dia with 12mm Tassie Oak axles while the plumber blocks are Spotted Gum flooring...
The finish is satin polyurethane clear, 3 coats...

It's quite sturdy and a little bit heavy but I'm not sure who or where it'll be going so over engineered it.
My grandsons haven't be able to destroy one I made similar for home some years back....
    Cheers, crowie

    Default Built like a ......

That should withstand plenty of punishment Peter. I can see the littlies pushing their younger brother or sister around in it and causing all sorts of mayhem.

That brings back some good memories.
Tayne had a block cart that doubled as his first billycart.
With his mom at one end of the family room and me at the other we'd push him back and forth.
    Great fun for all!.

So I think Al's right you haven't over engineered it at all.
    It looks just right mate!.

    Well done.

    Cheers
    Trev.

Great job on the cart Peter. Someone will be happy to win that and give it to their children

    Thumbs up

And that will make the family happy.

I also hope it fills you and your family with happiness and health for the effort you have gone to.
