Thread: Buckboard with wine barrel

I did a bit of work for a small winery and the owner gave me a few of his really old, weather beaten barrels that were beyond use and ready to be dumped. Surprisingly the (French) Oak machined very well and produced quite a lot of 42+ X 19 pieces around 230 long. I made a few cooking spatulas and carved spoons, then decided to try it out for toys. I made a few Old Timers with Pine sides that I decorated with Laser engraved logos from local wineries. Then I came up with this Buckboard, entirely made from the recycled barrel. I am beginning to see why crafts people like working with Oak. The plan is from Aschi's workshop, expanded 1:1.6 to use 40mm wheels.
