    Default new bulldozer

Made out of pine and maple. From the plans in 'Make Wood Trucks and Construction Vehicles'.
As most of the vehicles, I make one out of pine or softwood to work out the bugs and then make one out of hardwood. I used aluminium for the links
    Notes:
    1. MAKE SURE that you make several extra peices of the thread and links.
    2. Build the jigs to hold the drilling (thread and link).
    3. When I build out of hardwood, I am going to predrill for screws. It will rotate the thread smoothly.
    4. Add a rubber surface for the thread. It will allow the bulldozer to rotate on smooth surfaces.
Have fun. It is as hard as you might think.

Awesome job Srichard. I have the book you mention and hope to build some of the trucks someday. I can't wait to see what your hardwood version looks like.

That's dedication to fine workmanship "srichard",
Making one to get it right, then building a better one.
One to keep and one for the grandkids to play with.
Thank you for the construction tip, they've been put aside for "ron".
    Cheers, crowie

Great idea to do that. exotic timbers are too expensive to practice on.
By the way, Nice work on the Bulldozer.
    Reality is no background music.

Great bulldozer. Have to agree cheaper to get it wrong on cheap wood before committing yourself to the hardwoods
