Another car
Started making another toy car. not sure of the timber, I have had it for ages but it is softwood of some kind. the fenders are just pine. Took me a day to get to this stage.
Not doing a WIP as I am flat out at the moment but will post pics when finished.

What a great shape!!!! Looks really good.
Did you buy plans?
I think that it is more than a toy. I would call it a "model".Just do it!

I am making this truck based on a plan that is available from a local Australian toy manufacturer who also sells plans for the toys they produce. you can view his trucks, toys and plans available from Enjoy making wooden toys web site. The owner of this company is a member of this forum (Prime mover) or as he is known to his friends as Phil.
this truck I am making is from one of Phil's plans but I have taken license with it to change a few things.
This is the great thing about these plans, you can adapt things to suit yourself but still using the basic idea of the plan. I found Phil's plans easy to read and follow along step by step and he has many great designs available. Click on the link above and take a look at some of his great trucks and plans.
I will post more pics of this as I go along but not doing a full WIP.Reality is no background music.
Cheers John

Thanks John, for the link and 1000 apologies to Phil. Being a fellow Forumite I should have been more alert and looked at Phil's website before this. What a great collection of "toys" (I can easily see big boys playing with them).
Just do it!
Kind regards Rod
