So if you didn't do it so you only had to buy one present, was it so you would never forget when the anniversary was?
Congratulations on a great effort and I hope there are many more years to come.Dallas

After 40 years and you only get a couple of day passes a week to play lawn bowls and go to the Bellarine Railway. And that is if you are good.
Congratulations and good health to you both.
Now you should be able to build (bigger and better) stuff.

Thanks Derek,
We had a great day. My boys reckon I can't hold my beer - one stubby and I am so happy.( I won't say what the boys say ) Better that way than being a nasty drunk though. Couldn't keep up with the youngest son - he had quite a few. (He didn't drive home). A TOP day
Best Regards
Keith

Hi guys,
It's been about 2 weeks that I have been working on this piano. I am missing working on locomotives and the Engineering stuff (although yesterday we worked all day on the internal structure of a 1930's carriage at the real railway. Most work we do is on rolling stock at the moment). I will continue on the carriage and it's furniture but really looking forward to my next locomotive. - maybe a year away unless I start and work on 2 different projects at the one time.
Anyway back to the piano. I made up hammers and wire strings (you may be able to just make them out under the lifted lid. The 3 pedals at the bottom are made of aluminium and then filed flat and ends rounded. Then painted gold to look like brass. The piano itself has about 4 coats of stain on it. Still need to make the piano stool.
All the best
Keith

Great Stuff Charlie.
Sounds like you maybe doing some multitasking with a couple of builds on the go at once.
Looks like things are going to get twice as interesting!.
Cheers mate

Keith, it sounds like you have quite a few strings on your
bowpiano.
I will have to come over to give it a try after I practice at home first. (I am yet to ave a piano lesson.) My fingers are a bit rusty.
It is coming to party season, better get a move on and tune up. We want to hear the lathe turning and the saws humming, and the hammers hammering (the strings of the piano). We also need to here the whistle of your D3 chiming.
Keep up the good work.
