Great looking cement truck Glenn, I think it’s new owner will love it

Potts, I'm going out on a limb here and being critical which I don't like to be, and apologise in advance for any offence i'm going to cause. I was an owner driver of a concrete truck for 25 years. If my son commissioned your truck for me, regardless of the time and effort put into its construction, I would be disappointed with it.
I appreciate that you've built your truck from a plan and I'll try to explain why I don't like it.
The rear access ladder is on the wrong side, it should be on the drivers side. There is too much space between the back of the cab and the front of the agitator.
I've included a photo of my truck, visible is the 4th chute segment above the rear mudguard, there is another in the same position on the other side. In some cases both chutes would be stored one above the other on the right hand side. The large tool box on the side is my addition and not usual for weight reasons. Also for the same weight reason Agi's working in the metropolitan area would often not carry a spare wheel and the fuel tank would be smaller.
I'm trying to be constructive here and to be honest I've mulled up to this time as to whether to post this or just shut up and leave it.

No offence taken, I think your criticisms are probably true of the style of truck you drove. The client gave no specific instructions as to the style of truck he wanted. I went with the plan I had, made a few changes and come up with my model. This is based around a US plan. If I google concrete trucks there are so many styles and sizes, it becomes mind boggling. The client has seen pics during the build and the finished product and he’s happy so I’m happy. Time will tell if the ultimate recipient is happy or not
I will take your suggested improvements into consideration should I make another.

Thank you Peter, it was another challenging build, learnt a few things which I would do differently next time. No builds for a week or two, trying to do some workshop changes and a bit of a tidy up. Giving some thought to a project / gift for the new grandson.
