    Default Really cute...table & chairs...

Ok… just in for a few seconds… haven’t had time to take many photos lately… been too busy … however have these shots today…
Firstly table & chairs that I made for granddaughters… & the cupboard is for my homemade beers… the insert on the door looks like checker-plate but is light weight plastic mould… really great… effect, cuts with scissors, then glued on mdf.. backing.
So glad Dingo is back… but he doesn’t want to sit still does he…??? Lol

Anyone else having trouble with the rubin sanding disc’s when using them on the rip tear… backing from Carba-tec… I’m really not happy with it… will take it up next time back… don’t think the rip-tear contact replacement they sell is compatible… with Rubin backing!
Considering that every piece I make is recycled… & I use the Festo all the time…. Its worked well for 5 years WHY…now…give me trouble?????
    Anyone got any ideas?????

You mean the velcro "hook & loop" backing? Over time, use (& abuse ) the hooks on the sander pad break down. 5 years? That's a good run.

If it's just the rubin discs, fair enough, they have a problem. But if all brands of discs keep falling off, it's time to replace the material on the sander.

    Default Yes perplexing little puzzle....

Yes the hook & loop system...
Have always used velcro...system.. different types of disc's though.... however I usually replace the loop system at least twice before buying a new replacement festo-pad...@ $65 each time ... I feel its justified to use two replacement stick-on ones first (which I buy from Carba-tec)

Yes, I'm no novice with sanding & buy cartons of sanding disc... 50 or 100's at a time.... however last lot of papers flew off the loop... with in minutes of starting.... was brand new loop & new disc... very perplexing... seems to be just the Rubins.... not good... don't worry its coming up to carba-tec with me.... next trip...
    Thanks for the comments though....
    cheers Kerry...KEKEMO

Fair enough. Timne to toss the Rubins.

Just as a matter of interest, have you tried The Sandpaper Man's stuff? 'Tis good stuff & I reckon value for money, even with shipping. (And he's a forumite.)

I love how you rounded the edges..... I've seen table/chair sets with really sharp edges and corners that can really cause injury..... your's look great and most importantly... safe for kids... much nicer to touch too.
