Might cost you "less" if you purchase other items as well, or buy a few in bulk.

For those of you that own a tablesaw and would like the Wixey Digital Fence system, Woodcraft regularly has that on special for $US99.95 and that price INCLUDES a FREE Wixey Digital Angle Gauge. That works out to $A156 landed in sunny Bendigo!
And both those Wixey gadgets rock!!

    Hi Derek,

Just out of curiosity, when ordering from woodcraft, how long did the order take to arrive?

    Cheers,

I only order the Wixey a few days ago. However it was already shipped out by the next day. I have had one other purchase from Woodcraft, a LN rabbet block plane (on special - they have these every now-and-then for really amazing prices), and this arrived in about 10 days.

I paid with Visa. They have a secure site.

Incidentally, I would not be confident buying a no-name brand from Bunnings. I would rather pay the extra $10 and get a Wixey, which is a leader in this area. This is still about half price.

Having said this, I bought a Chinese metal detector off eBay for about $1. It arrived yesterday. Works bloody well! Amazing bargain.

    Regards from Perth

    Hi Derek,

Thanks for that - I have already put my order in today! I agree about buying the wixey over the bunnings one...

I looked through their website, and there's some pretty cool stuff in there. I liked the digital protractor as well - though I have bought enough toys for one day

    Cheers

hmmm, their cheapest shipping (low priority Fed-Ex) was $24 - so that's $54 US, or about $60 aus. Still worth it, I think, given they're about $80 plus shipping from aus suppliers.

I had a whole box of computer cables shipped from the US a fortnight ago for $12US, so it makes you wonder. I guess shipping rates vary widly between merchants here too...

    cheers,

I think anybody wanting a digital angle gauge should also consider this http://www.bealltool.com/products/measuring/tiltbox.php

I have a Wixey and the Tilt Box and find the Beall product more convenient to use with the additional side magnets and it seems to me to be of more robust construction.

these guys have the beal tilt box at $32US plus shipping. Cheapest price I can find online at the moment.

Would appreciate a heads up next time wixey is on sale. Not saying I'd buy one, still not convinced you need it on top of an incra, but at that price it might be worth buying just to see

Anyone interested in one of the cheap craftright models - they are in stock in Fyshwick Bunnings. In the tool section.
