Another distraction
Well the nearer I get to working on the Monmouthshire Waggon something else pops up this one however can go in this section. Started this earlier today and still maybe a couple of days left depending on whether a gentleman drops off some timber as promised.
There are no prizes as to what it is.

The face is pyrographed but still need a rub down to remove the pencil lines and the arms are marked out ready for tomorrow

I've seen a couple of these and they look like a fun project, something just a little bit different.

I am sure I have seen something similar in plastic that was made into a movie.
Will you have swap able parts also?
I am guessing yours are made to a larger size than the mass produced version.

Good stuff Derek.
Doesn't matter about the distractions as long as you are enjoying what you are doing.
All the Best

The danish company that makes these play 'things' actually started with a production of wooden toys, but when plastic came after wwII they started to produce these things. There name is short of 'play well' in danish (Leg Godt).
Here's a link to their history:

A very little done but taking shape now. Many parts are rough sanded and still need a little more work and the hands need a slot cut in them but untill all of the sanding is done on them I will cut those which will leave a very small amount to be sanded

All ready for the finish to be applied then onto one of the many things that still need doing.
I thought that when I finished work due to ill health that I was meant to take it easy but always have plenty to do

Dalboy Most of my funnest builds are the 3 day builds with no pressure, that's why I was mad at myself then I started the 4runner project.
I really wasn't wanting to build a long complicated build just something quick and easy but no I started a scratch build where the scratch come from scratching my head trying to figure it out. lol
Now if you see me starting another complicated build call me out on it and just say NO!!!An Index Of My Model making Blogs on Lumber Jocks.
