A Doll House
I thought you might like to see how I built a doll house, not my design,But taken from a Doll house magazine 2003, by Mr Jerry Welch's project, it has not been built exactly as was discribed ,If any interest I will try and post further pics.

Doll House
Hi there Crowie and David,Thanks for the nice comments,Yes I am trying to sort through the photos that I have ,The frame work of the house is not the usual slab sided, If I print the photo of the frame that is the basis for this house,I might bein
breach of the magazines rule's, But if you look carefuly you will see that the sides front and back are uprights and inserted panels Indevidual joists and floor boared's on the upper levels.
I have tried to put in the photos that best give you an idear how it is built ,I will find more as we go along,The magazine is still available I think from the Uk,but no email address, under the name of Doll House Projects I have the Address. If required. It was 8-9 years ago that I did this one.

Doll house
Hi Colbra, I don;t know of any emediate plans for this type of house, but if you go to the news agents and look at the Doll house maganes (Look for Dollhouse Projects) ,this is the most likely place to get a plan, But the net has millions but they are not to my style of house, back numbers are still available in the UK,

Doll House
Thank you Diggerdelaney and Christo,
The (Doll House Progect no 20) is by Warner Publications UK, the rest of the wording has disapeared with age,
I have found a few pics ,Making the chimneys and other brick work was as follows ,cut your timber to size and shape, mark type of bricks you want, cut the horizontel lines with a fine cut off wheel dremmel type,Form apiece of metal to the size of th perps or upright lines amd tap with a hamer to make the indent,Paint the joints the colour you choose, when dry paint the brick faces to colour, put on the pots and dirty up to age,the Roof took aprox 3000 thousand hand cut veneer
shingles it was worth it though and then stained to colour.
It seems I have a problem with the attachments I am not game to loose the post a third time so sorry no pics till tomorrow I hope.

G'Day Edwin,
With the more photos, the WOW & WOW is becoming more evident.
Did I see somewhere that you spent 500 hours on the project;
either way how does one find the words to describe such a magnificent build.
Looking forward to the additional photos.
Cheers, crowie

Doll House
Hi all, Getting to the last few pics I have of the house, but abit about the ageing and the way I finished the Inside of some rooms,
Although the timber used was Ash,the out side is painted with Acrylic paint and then a oil stain used over whith various aditions of diferent stains added, finished with a satin varnish, a base colour of drab grey blue was used,
To make the walls inside to be flat instead of the rough panels ,I cut to size 1/8th thick boards to fit the walls then done all the work on them before installing them,
which made it easy to do all the panel and fire place's skirting boards architraves and such like all, joist are built in as you go along.Enjoy.
Thanks Crowie and Munruben
Edwin.
