Default Doll's House Christmas present for our only granddaughter

Last year acquired a partially built “Dolls House” from a fellow forum member..

I spent a day this week adding the verandah posts & railings, the gingerbread plus two sets of interior starts along with a few minor repairs.

Then a couple of hours sanding so it’s ready for my daughter, Rachel who will do the decorating before we add the windows.
It’ll be a Christmas present for our only granddaughter, Hazel.

We purchased the papers for the room decorations while my daughter has decided upon a colour palette.
I spent over 2hrs masking with a little over a roll of FrogTape so we could pressure pack (shake&rattle)the verandah posts & rails, the eaves and edging with satin vivid white. It’ll take at least 3 coats to get a good coverage.

My daughter put a couple of extra coats of the white on plus sprayed clear satin on both sets of stairs.
I removed all the original masking tape, then added one line around the building.
So it was one coat of sealer undercoat and then two coats of colour.

My daughter has been working on some of the decorative papers to the doll’s house
Roof tiles plus Verandah & wall accents

With the main roof fully papered, some of the brick paper has been added to the foundation.
The windows and the door haven’t yet been glued in place but have been sat in place for a photo of the progress.

I spent the Christmas break to paint & clear coat the windows & doors.

The windows and door will be added when she is older but for now the doll's house is a great hit.
    Cheers crowie

That is absolutely marvellous. One would like to move in there. Just need to find a way to shrink [emoji6]

A doll house is a great gift. I also built one for my daughter when she was 4. Not as nice as yours though.
