I see what you mean, headlights yes, a bumper bar at the front maybe, or maybe a figurine on top of the radiator cap, (someone here will tell us the correct name for it). Early fire trucks used to have a bell operated by a string by the co driver, or may even a set horns/sirens.
Still, it does look great.

Looks the goods so far fozzy! I like the line and shape of the bonnet.
As the others say, headlights and a chewing gum dispenser will make a difference

Hi Fozzy.
I think the front guards need a large percentage cut of the front of them(I think you know that as you have trimmed them up a bit) They look like you made them for the back with the large flair .
And also the front wheels need to be further forward.Maybe a bit late for these mods, but it is my honest opinion not trying to upset youBack To Car Building & All The Sawdust.

Go with a centre mounted bonnet bell and a hood ornament. Old school bell and string style like scrappy suggested. Try the Museum of fire website for some ideas.

In full agreement with you Aussie. Compare the two photos of the real thing, and you'll see the front wheels are a fair way forward of the bonnet/engine bay, and the front guards don't go much further than around 45* from the centre of the wheel. Also, radiators from vehicles of that era where mainly vertical (have a look at most hotrods).
However, the back half looks awesome!!Too many projects, so little time, even less money! Are you a registered member? Why not? click here to register. It's free and only takes 37 seconds! Doing work around the home? Wander over to our sister site, Renovate Forum, for all your renovation queries.
