    I agree with Crowie, I think it looks good. A coat of red paint and some lights - don't scrap it yet - but of course up to you.

    Have you thought about softening the lines of it by radius curves and round over bits to make it more aesthetically pleasing as well as user friendly. I think that may help

    After sleeping on it, I think I can fix it. The edges are rounded over. My daughter wanted it wood colored instead of red. Which creates a problem of using wood to basically make different colors ie, bumper ladder etc etc

    Much improved. Amazing what a difference a bit of detail makes.
    I am sure most children would love it, even if in your eyes it is not right.
