    Default Ford Hot Rod T-Bucket’s

Ford Hot Rod T-Bucket’s for the workshop of A Crowe Creations

Well after doing the three hotrods for the grandsons i embarked upon improving them with a view to doing a plan, set of photos to enable others to make them.
Firstly I copied the original design but wasn’t quite happy with the front end wheel spacers.

So I widened the chassis and increase length of the front axle supports.
The recess on both the front and rear wheels has been increased to give the axle pegs more length into the chassis too.

So now we have a beaut looking toy that’s playable.
Their’s a mixture of merbau, spotted gum, camphor laurel, blackheart sassafras, gidgee, walnut, red gum, cypress pine and tassie oak; but the choice is really yours to mix and blend. The rear of the hotrod can be anyone of the patterns I’ve tried plus a ute/pickup back.
Most of the timber is offcuts or recycled.
The lapel pins set the styling as does the lazer cut Ford Logo [thank you again Ducky].

The timber buttons from Holland [thank you Dutchy] for the steering wheels.
The headlights are shop bought, the taillights are modified small axle pegs.
The finish is my homemade Wipe-on-Poly [30% Tung Oil, 40%Clear Satin Polyurethane, 30%Turps].

My plans are more photos with measurements, which I have available to all and anyone wanting them, as a “pdf file”.

    Back to the Hot Rods…
The first one with the front axle supports I wasn’t happy with has been given as a THANK YOU to my Fruit & Veggie friend Sam.
He has one day off [Good Friday] since the beginning of the year. He’s been doing lots of home deliveries during the covid virus issues to families & the elderly
PLUS has always supported many local organizations with Fruit & Veggie Hampers as Fund Raisers.

The other three will be used for prizes, gifts or just give aways…

    Top work Peter.

    A credit to you.

They look FANTASTIC. The different woods give them real character.
