    Default Frontend loader

I decided to have a go at making a few of these.

I saw them being made in multiples on this video and thought I would try the same.
I was able to glean enough dimensions off his Sketchup drawing to be able to redraw it, so I have my own working drawings now.
Just started tonight and have only cut material for 2 of the components so far. I will make 7 of them as that is what I was able to get out of the length of Pine I had on hand.

Not sure if I will get them finished in time for Christmas though, but I will try.

Good idea stripping it apart. I just maneuvered the model around to get the dimensions.

Once the parts are separated it is easy to measure them

Thanks for the compliments, but I am still only on L plates with this stuff.

Today was a good shed day as it was stormy outside and very humid at times. I was able to prepare quite a few pieces, but still quite a few to go. When I first thought about this task I was considering making the items 2x scale, but because I wanted to do multiples I thought I would stick to the original scale to conserve materials. I found that cutting the bodies in multiples clamped together was difficult due to their small size and limited room to to keep a clamp on. It worked out okay in the end with a bit of fiddling about.
Attached are some photos of operations and setups used today.

Not sure why one photo ended up down the bottom on its own. It was giving me trouble all along.

Blimey Dallas you have been busy and looks a good job. Because I don't use sketch up that much when I go back to it I forget how to do things so still takes as long as the first time

    Great looking work there Dallas,

You sure have beautiful looking machinery and a clean workshop.

You are very skilfull. Glad you got a fair bit of time in the shed.

I have had problems with extra photos like you with the extra thumbnail. Mine came up when I added the photo, submitted and then wasn't happy with it online and tried to edit and delete and insert another photo. The old one stayed there. I think I finally deleted the post and started again.

    Regards

    Keith

Some time cutting out more parts today. Doesn't look like much has changed but a lot of time was spent cutting and routing little bits. All ready now except for the wheels and axles.

Certainly a production line you have going there Dallas. You look like you are ready for the assembly line you had better get a little helper like Bret and Peter
