Gatto's Dump Truck
G'day All,
This is my take on Mr Gatto's Dump Truck. I haven't oiled it yet (just plain timber at this stage) as I am undecided whether to add all the running lights and horns to the cab roof (don't think I will as it could become too cluttered).
Timbers' used - US White Oak, NG Rosewood Yellow Balau, Tas Blackwood, Silky Oak, Pine, Tas Oak Wenge, Ebony and a bit of Mulga.
Regards Geoff
PS: It's a big bugger, the wheels are 3 inch dia.

Superbly done Geoff....
You've certainly done a great job!
Keep up the good work sir!
I love all the extra details so I'd add the running lights and horn[s], but that's me.
What finish are you considering?
If you're still not sure, you might consider homemade wipe on poly that my master woodturner friend Ian introduced to a good few years ago.
Tung Oil at 30% + Clear Satin Polyurethane at 40% + Mineral Turps at 30%; mixed in a small airtight jar. It can be brushed on or wiped on.
Cheers, crowie

Gawd, that's nice Geoff. The detail is superb. It makes people like me want to get back out in the shed ASAP.

Crowie, Crunchie and Keith, thank you for your kind words. I must admit I was quite happy with how the truck turned out!
Regards,
Geoff
