Default Second US Mail Truck Model T

Six months on and I decided to do another US Mail Truck for another Grandson. The big learning from the first effort was hang the rear door prior to putting the roof on......sooo much easier. You can buy a kit rear door but with postage to Oz it is #!~* expensive when one has the skills to make one.
So this time I spent a few dollars at the Working with Wood exhibition and bought a little cabinet draw lock. Took a couple of hours of fiddlin and diddlin (a technical term) to get it all working nicely.

    I'm a very happy chap.

Lots of different wood. Bonnet is red gum, floor is sassafras, visor is tasmanian blackwood as are the mud guards, roof and side are hard wood but not sure which, bumpers and seat, are a soft black wood again unknown to me.

    Wheels are off the shelf.

    Cheers, Kerry

Why can't I see the pics I posted? Have also asked Admin the same question.

Looks like a great job on the money box.

I also made one a little while ago but I made my own simple combination lock for the back doors. But I do like the idea of a small lock like yours
