mercedes 1903
Just started to make a model 1903 Mercedes, can't remember the name of the book it came from ( Aussie will know ) it will be 350mm o/a. The plans call for heaps of brass parts, even though I have a metal lathe I want to make everything out of timber.
First 2 days work, the wheels, blackwood tyres, huon pine rims and hubs, tooth picks for the spokes.
cheers John.

Looks like you are doing a fine job there John.
Is that a laminated front axle? Sure looks like it.
All that fine turning to make the controls up.

Re chain. I raided my wifes jewellery box , found an old necklace that hadn't been worn for years. Only metal to be used. John
