Model T Ford - Miss Lizzie - Norm Marshall Style
Model T Ford - Miss Lizzie - Norm Marshall Style
I mate of mine saw one of the Model T Fords I've made & commented that his grandson would love one of them.
I offered the plans which he declined, as his wife was very sick [an 18yr battle with cancer].
His wife passed away 3 weeks ago and at the funeral I asked if he'd like the plans again [I'm a bit thick at times].
My friend again declined and commented that he thought that I'd make him one.
And so I have made a Miss Lizzie for him to give to his grandson.
Now, in my rush to do the project, I've made a few mistakes, but the end result is okay.
My mate or his grandson won't know, and the boy will just have hours of fun play.
Cheers, crowie.

Crowie
Congratulations on the great gester you have displayed to you mate & his grandson in sharing your craftsmanship.
I must say I like the grain presentation you have produced on the cabin roof of Miss Lizzie with the laminated timber.
Keep churning them out - I enjoy seeing your work.
Cheers.

Top Work
Crowie,
You have mentioned previously regarding my toy making that "With ethics like yours you won't make much money". Well, my friend - you have topped me in the ethics stakes. The craftsmanship as usual is AWESOME. The attention to detail is AWESOME. The finish is AWESOME. What is absolutely GOLD MEDAL is the person who made the truck.
I have always maintained is that if your heart is in the right place - it doesn't matter what you make. Keep up the great work Crowie. You inspire me to do more.

Looking forward to seeing your tanker very soon, Ray......
It's always hard to get nice timber big enough to make the cabins on the Norm marshall plans.
I scored about 30 small pieces of merbau decking today from my mate at Hudsons.
The small bits they use as protectors when strapping the bundles together.
Just enough timber to make a 60mm dia wheel with the profile cutter....
