    Default Neighbours Day

    Refer to Crowie's thread "
A Surprise Gift for my Fruit & Veggie man’s off-sider – Hot Rod Ford “C” Cab Flatbed
" in this Toy Making forum.

You certainly gave me "food for thought", Crowie, in your summary of doing something good for someone else.

The last Sunday in March is Neighbours Day. With Crowie's words echoing in my ear, I realised that I had 3 close neighbours with 2 to 3 year old boys (not that gender is important in this case). It is also a time of uncertainty when parents are under stress, not only from having kids in the "terrible 2 / 3 's", but also with job uncertainty.

I decided to whip up a toy for each of the boys, based on the car their parents own (A Mini restoration project yet to be painted, a black Ford Territory and a black Jeep Cherokee). My aim is to hand the toys over the fences in the next couple of days while, of course, keeping Social Distancing principles in mind.

Thanks for setting the "challenge", Crowie.

    Default Absolutely bloody fantastic sir....

Absolutely bloody fantastic sir.... TOP MARKS!

My comments were never really meant as a challenge just reminding myself as why I enjoy making and giving hand made wooden toys!

I'm enjoying this time of uncertainty as I'm getting a heap of shed time making toys; a small stock pile for gifts and give aways over the coming months.

If anyone wants or needs inspiration with toy plan suggestions, please drop me a note as I'd be more than happy to help you put a smile on a child's face...

"Crunchie", Sir, you have made a good day GREAT, thank you.

    Cheers Peter [aka crowie]
