Default What if two people guess the correct weight of the HotRod Ford at the 50th Reunion

What if two people guess the correct weight of the HotRod Ford at the 50th Reunion

What does a Ford Hotrod enthusiast build to donate to a 50 year Naval Reunion Fund Raiser - by crowie @ LumberJocks.com ~ woodworking community

That was the question from the old shipmate who was organizing the fund raiser!

SIMPLE - I'll make another prize for the the Guessing Competition!

I put on my thinking cap and came up with a prize that would have a wider appeal, a Christmas Sleigh & Reindeer.
I had the templates and a beautiful piece of Camphor Laurel for the sides plus a length of laminated Walnut for the centre section.
The reindeer would be made from some Tallow Wood complete with a Blood Wood nose.

So with Handy's assistance the sleigh and reindeer was done.
Three coats of my homemade wipe-on-poly and the Second Prize is sorted!

    Cheers crowie

and if three people guess the correct weight of the Ford HotRod?

me thinks it might be easier to determine the "winner" by placing all the "correct weight" guesses into a hat and drawing the names out till only one is left. The name of the person who wins the prize is the last name in the hat.

Not dishing your sleighs. They should go to everyone who guessed the "correct weight" but whose name was drawn from the hat.

Not sure how the entries are received, but if there is an order or time record of entry then in the situation where more than one entry correctly guess the weight, or if no one entry has the correct weight but two or more entries are equally off the correct weight, then the first entry with the correct, or nearest guess should be the winner.

If there is no record of the order of entry then you could go as ian suggest, put the names in a "hat" and draw out one winner.
