Some plans
Hi all i have been looking at buying some of these plans from the "YOU CAN MAKE IT" catalogue. In it there are a heap of toy plans for sale they are meant to be simple to follow and some things look really fun to make and play with. Here is the web site for anyone who want to know more www.ubuildit.com.au

Thankyou for the heads up. I now have several ideas to work with and i'm not going to buy the plans as I've never been very good at following them..... I work better by trial and error.

I like that kind of thing and really admire the skill of those who make them.
I am a bit like Richard, I like to do my own, designing it and then creating it is the bit I like the best. I also like to take something complex and simplify it, especially as I tend to make toys for younger kids. As an example, the toy train would be good for little kids but the truck possibly would not as it is more fragile.
Cheers,
