    Here are a few of the toys I have been making lately. Simple but kids seem to love them.. The desktop rocking horse is just an experimental horse and is not finished and has to have the tail added but will be done shortly. I have found an old doll at the local disposal store with no arms or legs but had hair so will use some of the hair for the tail.

    G'Day John,
    You've been quiet on the forum for a little while;
    BUT looks like you've been quite busy in the shed......look great.
    Looking forward to seeing the finished mini Rocking Horse.
    Cheers, crowie

    Hi John
    Glad to have you back on the forum.I thought the trip to UK and back may have knocked you about to much and you needed a good rest.No- you have been working in silence I see.
    Very good the toys are too. You must have VERY small grankids to be able to sit on the rocking horse? I love it.

    Thanks guys, yes haven't been very active in the forum lately. Been very busy with teaching computers for an organisation up here called BSOL (Brisbane seniors online) but hope to be getting back into more woodworking from now on. I have made a change to the rocking horse by changing the rocker arc as it was too shallow and didn't rock as I would have liked it to but all is good now.. just waiting for the hair do..(horses hair do that is)

    Default Great toys, great desktop rocking horse.

    Methinks the desktop rocking horse is a great idea for using up those little scraps of wood lying around

    Looking forward to seeing it finished.

    Keep up the good work with the toy cars and trucks.
