Default Pull Along Block Spinner for a nieces son

    G'Day All,
It's good to be back at the "toymaking bench" in the shed.
I've made this "Pull Along Block Spinner" for a nieces son [only 8mths now].
I've used hardwood for the wheels this time as it cuts cleaner.
Note: the wheel, the block & the peg are all the same colour as a teaching aid.
Nothing too fancy but should be fun for the little boys as he grows.
    Cheers, crowie

Very nice. Great bright colours. A video of it in action would be very interesting. I'd love to see it go.

    Thanks Mike John,
I'm not sure about the video but the camera has the function so I'll have a go at it tomorrow.
    Cheers, Crowie

Many thanks to Mike John for doing my video on to YouTube for me and then onto the forum.....
Must say it does look heaps better seeing it moving.
Lots of fun for the little children.

Great toy. lots of fun in that and colourful too. some dimensions would be great Crowie. hard to tell from the pics how big or small it is. A WIP would have been great.
    Reality is no background music.
    Cheers John

    Thank you all.
As John requested the dimensions are as follows:

    Body of toy - 220mm x 90mm x 19mm
    Wheels - 45mm dia x 19mm
    Blocks - 38mm x 38mm x 60mm high with 9mm hole
    Pegs - 8mm dia
60mm between the pegs & 10mm in from the side

The pegs are glued into the body before the wheels are screwed in place after pilot drilling.
Note, I add a flat washer on both sides of the wheel to help with ease of rotation.
I've made about 8 of these over the years, my first one is still here at home [nearly 20 years old].
Little ones seem to enjoy them.
    Cheers, crowie
