Quad Bike from "Wooden Toys and Plans" formally Woodworkingdownunder plans

Genuine [aka Tony] who runs whats now called "Wooden Toys and Plans" website sent me a copy of his latest wooden toy plan, A Quad Bike...

It's similar design to that of the Motorbike I made a month or two ago, Motorbike from Woodworkingdownunder plans
This plan is simple & strong ready for fun and play.

In my opinion theses are great wooden toys that Tony has designed as they are pretty well bullet proof BUT best of all the plans are free, THANK YOU Tony and congratulations on such a brilliantly designs wooden toy.
Here's the link to the free plans.... Wooden Toy Motorcycle Project Plans

This first set of prototypes which I've done are; bodies made from Oregon, Red Gum, a mystery timber; sides from Cypress Pine, Spotted Gum and the wheels are from a piece of 60plus year old hardwood that came out of my re-roofing; 3-4 coats of Gloss Clear Polyurethane....It took about 4hours to do each of the three Quad Bikes making the template and cutting the wheels, but I suspect it'd be a little quicker next time.

    Cheers, crowie

They look great but I thought we would see a picture of Handy going for a ride in one. They seem to be made for him.

What a fabulous way to use up some scrap timber. These bikes look like they would be ideal for making in quantities for kids charities. I will investigate further.
That is a nice bit of production there Peter, the finish looks great, well done (as usual).

That Handy must be some kind of slave driver the way you are turning the toys out Peter.

Great job on the Quads and bike. I see you have made some templates that will make things easier for a production run if needed
