Looks great Duke. Did you have plans or just your own design? How did you do the driver so well? Cheers, Crowie

Hi every one,
Thanks for the kind words.
Yes I had plans and destructions for this one and it has only taken me 55 years to finally get around to making it.
The driver is not all that good, the photo has flattered him. He is the third attempt done with fret saw, Dremal burrs and hand sanding.
RegardsHugh

Wow Duke, You kept it all this time.
That was out a year before I was born.
Look at the cost 4 pence, a fortune in the day.
Ten years later when I was in grade 5, 4 pence was buying me a huge amount to lollies.
Again, great toy and well done.
Cheers, Crowie.
I had a quick look on the google and found Hobbies which says the "Hobbies weekly Magazine in worth 5.00GBP each so look after your old books!
PS - Prime Mover must not of heard of Stanthorpe in winter....

Hi All,
First some answers,
Phil,
There's 2 reasons I can't use that excuse,
1) I only came to Canberra and Australia in the 80s
2) Our tourist mob say we have more sunny days than any other capitol in Australia.
Crowie
I had a subscription in those days and have two and a half years of Hobbies weekly.
You probably found in your Goggling that a successor to the company exists, and although they don't do a magazine they have all sorts of other goodies for toy makers and I have bought some with out problem.
And now some WIP
1) Pattens stuck on prepared timber (10 and 6 mm Red Cedar)
2) Pieces cut out on the scroll saw
3) First glue up
4) Dry assembly of sub assemblies
5) Shaping and sanding by what ever means available
6) Initialising and dating before applying Finnish.
Unfortunately I got too involved after that to play with the camera.
The pieces for the driver were discarded and redone in Hoop Pine.
Hope some find this interesting'
RegardsHugh
