The reward is a smile and just because you can!


There is just way too much fear and confusion across the world at present.


I just love making handmade playable wooden toys for play as the reward of a smile is so worthwhile.


About a week ago I found out from my local florist that her little bloke has a birthday in August.

And YES I’m a regular customer for my beautiful wife, I’ve given her flowers every 4-6 weeks since the second year we started going out together as a couple [43 years ago].


So today while doing the family grocery shopping I dropped in on Jamie with a Quad Bike for her little blokes birthday next month and the smile says it all.

The body of the bike is recycled old Oregon or Douglas Fur, eaves from an old house thanks to a builder friend;
The sides of the bike are Spotted Gum timber packers scored from Hudson’s Timber;
The wheels of the bike at Merbau made from a damaged stair treat from Hudson’s Timber.
Only two coats of my home-made Wipe-On-Poly…


So all in all it’s cost me not much more than 2-3 hours of time & effort BUT rewards is priceless!


Not quite a Random Act Of Kindness but still pretty special fun in todays climate!
