Nice! But I'd prefer a springer front end.
I like the wheels at each end of the rocker... I imagine they could be made functional to make it easier to move around the house?

G'Day & Welcome Dan,
You might be new to forum but WOW you're not new to "Toy Making".
A great job, good detail and beautiful timber selection.
Well Done, many happy hours for some little people.
Cheers, crowie

thank you all for your thoughts, but they are not wheels at the end of the rails,,they are there to stop the rocker from tipping over ,and a springer front end would be difficult as these have to stand up to a childs use, also no nails or screws are used as these would work loose over time,it took me maybe a couple of years to develop the rockers,i have another model also and have sold quite a few of them, regards dan

No nails or screws? Mortised & tenoned, biscuitted, plain ol' butt joints or something else?
About the wheels... yeah, I know what they're for.
What I was thinking that if you made the dark discs say... 7mm wider in radius and put them on axles, it would make it easier for the lady of the house to move for sweeping/vacuuming etc. without changing the overall look. She could pick up whichever end was closer to her and "trolley it" around, if you know what I mean?
No criticisms intended, you've done a nice job. But we tend to look at things and think "now, how would I go about that?" It's an affliction most woodworkers seem to suffer.
