Ryan's Toy Garage (Crowie Inspired)
Well since I seem to be slacking on my train (LOL) here is what I started on today. It is a garage/carpark Crowie style!

Nick approved. Even though it is his brothers garage

Roof glued and screwed. I could hardly work on it once Nick saw it.

Trim put on.

Just need to make gas pumps and then paint everything. After the long Scania build it was really enjoyful to make something this fast. Can't wait to paint it and give to Ryan.

That looks great Bret.
The trim around the edge of the ply is very good idea.
Great WIP photos and working notes.
Looking forward to your paint up and detailing.
Cheers, crowie

I think you are starting to get the hang of this woodworking Bret You going to paint it or stain? I usually paint before I assemble this kind of project, easier than trying to cut in the colours so it looks neat.
You probably got a steadier hand than me though. Looks good.Reality is no background music.
Cheers John

Re: Ryan's Toy Garage (Crowie Inspired)
Nice work. I must admit though I found myself looking at the background of the photo as much as the project itself. Good looking workshop there.

So I guess I didn't load any pictures on the last post. DOH! So I will add them to this post. I got the base painted with the first coat except for inside the garage, and the holes filled on the garage sanded and coated with primer. If everything goes to plan should be able to get the color coat on the garage this evening.

I got a coat of paint on everything. Still need to put one more coat on the grass and the blue of the building. The black covers real well on first coat.

What do guys think should I paint the inside white or leave it gray?

Awesome job!! I vote for leaving the gray at least on the floors...it looks like concrete. Maybe the inside walls in white..or you could go seriously garage journal and do a pinstripe wall..LOL!

Looks good Bret,
Though very neat with the lines of the roadways.
I normally do a very light blue for both the walls & floor.
Plus you could do a contrast on the trim around the roof top carpark.
After the paint work is finished & dried and the decals are applied, I usually give the whole thing a coat of Gloss Clear Pressure Pack to seal everything.
Don't forget the sign & the trees.
Cheers, crowie
