    Default Simple puzzle.

I guess most of the woodworkers on here have seen this simple puzzle before, but for those who have not, I thought I would post this for you to make. I am not going to give the solution as making it and finding how it works is part of the fun. For those of you who can solve the puzzle, please dont respond with the answer here.
This puzzle takes very little time to make and you dont need much wood. I made this one from Tassie oak and for the pins I used some 1/4 dia brass that I had. Previously when I have made these I have used ordinary 1/4 dowel and it works fine.

The two pieces are put together interlocking and then shaken. The pins lock the cross and the fun is to get it apart.
There are four pins, two in each piece. The pins are a bit shorter than the hole depth but longer than the mortice width so that they cannot fall out.
Here is a video someone has posted showing the parts being put together. The video helps to show how the pieces are made.

Thanks Ruddy. I've gotta have a go at this one too.
Like crowie, I copied your pics, and also downloaded the video from YouTube.

(Just quietly, I've got it figured I think.)

I purchased one of these years back, and then made quite few. I gave to kids who visited and liked me.

    Hi Buzza,
I have done the same as you. I once made about 5 at a time and then gave them away to a few kids.......and adults.
I meet with some old mates every Tuesday morning for coffee and a chat and this morning I gave one of the blokes one of these to keep. I bet I get a phone call from him in a couple of days.........Verbal abuse from mates I can take!!!!!
