    Default Stop Sqeaking

Can anyone assist to stop my squeaking axles.

Have build small Walker/Pusher/Pram for a 2 1/2 years old girl.

The wooden dowelling 1/2" axles are in four hardwood blocks.

The blocks have been lined up so the wheels turn freely - but all blocks squeak.

I have though of (but not used as yet) three suggestions.

Vegetable oil and snow white petroleum jelly (being both safe for humans) - or silicon spray of some kind.

I dont want to use oily stuff before finishing the final coat of paint.

    What do you reckon?????
