    Default Tipper Truck

Put this together over the last two days, good to get back to the shed after a very busy week. This one is off to a 4yr old for his birthday in Nov. Just on 430mm, 17” long. Rear wheels are on an articulating bogey. I mounted a small magnet in the chassis and a small screw in the tray base which helps to hold the tray down, needs just a small amount of force to tip.

    That’s brilliant. Lots of questions
Do you make the wheels yourself? Do you use plans or is it your own design?
    I’ve got the toy bug

Hi Lappa, I buy my wheels from All Wooden Toy Wheels - Wooden Bits and Bobs and I do use some plans but make alterations to suit what I’m trying to achieve. Plans I generally get from Wooden Toy Plans | The Best Wooden Toy Plans in the World and various other sources.
Just starting to make some wheels for a bit of added fun.
    Happy toy making.
