Default A birthday gift for my grandson

About 12 weeks ago, well before the Lockdown Stay at Home orders one of grandsons had a look through one of my toy books to find a “Lollie/Candy Dispenser”.

Pa can you make me one of these?

My answer was, you have a birthday in September!

With assistance from Handy and supervision from Papa Smurf an old honey jar was added to a slide mechanism.

Of course Handy wanted to sample the M&M’s and Skittles but Papa Smurf warned him off opening the bags as they are for Ollie’s birthday.

    Good fun.

    Cheers

I agree with Handy. We need to try it out before we gift the dispenser.

Another nice build. I hope Ollie enjoys his gift. Not sure if you are able to give it to him in person but it would be the "caring" thing to do.

Well Kevin, My eldest daughter agreed with you.

We have to do a TEST RUN!

After seeing it worked we left it full of the M&M’s in the wrapping.

Now that will definitely be a WOW FACTOR photo for Ollie.

Great gift. I'm sure Ollie will be super excited when he gets it after choosing something for you to build for him.

may I make a suggestion instead of glass could you use a plastic container such as peanut paste or something similar for safety reasons,I know it is over the top but.....nice gift for a little one who will be proud to use.

I bet the jar was empty after the test run

Nice little project Peter and I am sure he will love it and that Mum and Dad will forever keep buying sweets to keep it full
