Cheers Keith.
I wish I could upload a vid to here, the top red LEDs stay on and the remaining eleven flash at either 2 or 1.5Hz. Two of the three legs are drilled and will allow the rocket to be charged by placing it back on it's base. I have used a wall plug type switchmode power supply so it will only ever see 5V at the base so no nasty accidents can happen if something gets spilled.
I couldn't work out how to fit a switch to turn the lights on without ruining the look so I am going to use a rotary switch and you will turn the nose of the rocket to turn it on and off.

Had to enlist my old man for this, maths is not a strong point and because of that neither is electrical work.
Two crazy bright alternating LEDs and a voltage regulator to charge the batteries.

Can't make much of the base station without the electronics, this is hinged and will later have an additional top piece with the lights in it.

Nooooooo, it and most of my power tools just got saturated!
Why are my pics all sideways? They are fine on the computer.

Haha, yes it did.
Not perfect and I'm pretty annoyed at the glue lines, didn't use my normal Sika PVA which wipes away easily.

I still can't get these to upload in the correct orientation, I've cropped, edited, rotated but they still come up the wrong way!

Thanks Keith, ah haaa, so I can open it in Paint then save it and it uploads the correct way. I am using my old computer so maybe that has something to do with it, don't think it happened with my newer one which is now dead.
Rocket light.jpg
Looks somewhat flame like, there is a 3AAA battery holder inside the body and the switch is at the top, twist the nosecone anti or clockwise and it turns on, in the middle is off.

A staff member asked what I do with the timber I buy/get and I showed her a couple of pics, she seemed impressed so a few are going on their website.
I think a couple were going in a newsletter for whoever I got the veneer from too.
