Another toy garage
Hi there,
Its been a while since I've posted anything, so here's the latest project. Inspired no doubt by some of the recent toy garages shown here, I decided to make one for my boy who turned 5 yesterday. I went looking for something a bit retro on the Net, like the Radiator Springs style in the movie Cars. I stumbled on this old toy on Ebay, French from the 50's or 60's, and home made by the looks. I added a muli-level car park at the back and used the original as a rough plan.
Some finishing issues, as these things always seem to get finished the night before! However, it has gone over very well with my boy, who isn't fussed about spray paint masking etc!
Cheers,Andy Mac

Here's some more photos of my version. There is a hoist running on 2 photocopier shafts, which lifts from the ground to first floor. Slight problem with the carpark door, as the magnetic catch won't hold, so needs reworking.
Hope you enjoy it!Andy Mac

That looks fantastic and all the extra features must make it really enjoyable to play with.

Great job ... love the car storage ..... are the cars in storage visible from the front like a showroom?
