    Default Toybox Skip

This my design for a plywood skip (9mm). Very easy to build. A recent Christmas present for my first grandson. The only tricky bit was applying a stencil with his name on the side.

See the discussion of the stencil at
    https://www.woodworkforums.com/f11/ho...roject-128329/

    Dimensions:
    Base: 40cm x 50cm
    Sides: 50cm x 37cm
    Ends are "skip" shaped 32cm x 12cm x 40cm with a strengthening edge of 6mm plywood: 10cm x 12 cm x 56cm/46cm inner.

The stencils were printed in Word onto A4 Avery labels in outline font called Stencil Std at about 120pt.

Use blue painters tape to mask the colors for the red and yellow "warning" signs on the corners.

Remember to dab the paint rather than swish it over the letters, thus minimizing any bleed. As you'll see in the other thread it's important to do the FIRST COAT of the stencil in the underlying base color - in my case that was white. Make sure it has cured for 24 hours before doing the first coat of black. I did two coats.

nothing is so easy to do as when you figure out the impossible.

    That's pretty neat.
    Reality is no background music.
