Today we had a later start after last nights adventures; 8am breakfast the sorted for a checking out about 10:30 to transfer to the London Central hotel just behind the London Eye. Room wasn't ready so we left the bags with the concierge and headed off to explore London on foot. So many people, so many accents and languages. Our feet and leg ached with all the walking getting back to the hotel about 7pm.
The most pleasant part of this evening was a 45min phone chat with the Gentleman Woodworker of Canterbury, Derek (aka Dalboy); it was nice to actually talk with a fellow toymaker/woodworker from the forum. Cheers Peter

Another fine sunny London day.
Another fine sunny London day.
We had a slow start with breakfast at Starbucks; 12 Pound for the 3 of us over 45 pound in the hotel.
The day started with an Underground trip to Tower Hill station and onto the Tower of London which really a castle. We skipped the Crown Jewels as the queue was about 200mtrs long. Their were heaps of tourists and school kids so the place was somewhat crowded. Our feet hadn't recovered from yesterday as we often needed to sit. After the Tower of London it was across the London Bridge on onto London Bridge Station to return to the hotel for a rest. Before tea we did a Shrek Tour Show, more aimed at the children or young at heart; good fun except the very realistic 4D magical bus ride were I nearly became motion sick.
And that's the end of another good day. Cheers Peter

Remembering 7/7
A somber start to today as the London news broadcasts are full of memorials to the 10yrs since the London bombings 7th July 2005.
All the town officials have encouraged everyone to remember but continue with the day to day.
