Well ladies and gents what a very different few months we’ve had for sure.
Thank you to the folk who’ve checked up on me during this time, it’s been very much appreciated.
With the extra time for hibernating in the shed my darling wife suggested that I build up a stock of prizes, gifts and give aways [as this would help use up some of the timber stored under the house]
The little trucks are pretty well my own design with a couple of veneration.

Then the dragster is based on a Steve Good Scrollsaw design

The little Noddy Car is also based on a Steve Good Scrollsaw design.
My beloved liked this style, thus more I made more but with home made wheels.

The other cars are from a free pattern from Tony Slattery
Free project plans for wooden toys to make and sell.
My daughter thought this style was great for little hand and thus a lot more.

I still have the Pull Along Block Spinners to finish; six in total.

And I’ve used up a whole lot of long thin offcuts to make Cheese Boards.
Coated with raw coconut oil this one has already been gifted.

All the timber is pretty well Aussie hardwoods, most recycled.
The finish is my home made Wipe-on-Poly of 30% Tung Oil + 40% Satin Clear Polyurethane + 30% Turps.
So ladies and gents, The lockdown isolation has been very productive and enjoyable…..
Best of all I have a ready stock of toys to give!!
Keep safe and well all..[plus warm if your in the Great South Land]
OPPS - I forgot the Quad Bikes from another Tony Slattery pattern

Great work there Crowie, you have been really busy. I have found that being made to stay at home has just increased shed time so it hasn't been too much of an inconvenience.
I have made quite a few of the block spinners to your plans. Even the adults really like them let alone the kids.
The knife with your cheeseboard looks like it is made from laminated wood too.Dallas

Wow! You must have the wheel making process down to a fine art these days Crowie. I suppose having Handy helping you with the process speeds things up a bit, make sure he doesn't get too cold. It is surprising how much timber gets used in a big toy making session, and how much firewood is produced from the offcuts.
I reckon that heated jacket of yours would be getting a workout on these chilly mornings, and we are only a few days in to winter.
Happy toy making,
Alan...
