    Default Toyota 4wd

With the village shed still closed and bored my son suggested I make a model of his Toyota Landcruiser . Working on a bench in the garage with just enough tools to get it done . It has solid axles with springs to give the vehicle extra lift. A sketch of how I made the solid axle with each wheel on a separate stub axle. I was given some 12 mm dressed King Billy Pine so that was used as no thicknesser available to machine any other timber.other bits used were red cedar and jelutong. John

Absolutely brilliant! Great detail and the colours look very realistic. Love the way you have done the suspension. What overall length is it?

You have been a busy lad during lockdown.

A great looking model and I bet he was well pleased. It is surprising what can be achieved with a few tools. I am lucky that I have quite a bit of machinery for preparing my stock but it is still nice to be able to resort to simple hand tools now and then it just helps keep my hand in.
