Wheels (again!)
While perusing some of the other postings to this site recently, I came across one where someone was using his old bench top drill press as a lathe for making wheels, having first taken the head of the drill press off of the pillar and then mounting it in some way horizontally. Can anyone direct me to that site as I'd really like do the same and to quote an oft-quoted saying, "I don't want to reinvent the wheel".
My large lathe is a cheapy and doesn't have a Morse taper, but the drill press does and I feel that I could get a lot of use out of it. With the floor-standing drill press that I now have, the bench top unit doesn't get used anymore.
Cheers
Peter
