Woodturning
Now that title has confused all of the toy makers.
Anyway I found a book on woodturning toys and thought you may like to know It is by Richard Raffan.

Toys By R. Raffan.
Hi Dalboy,
I'm just off to town. Have to go to Local Library, & will ask them if they can buy it in.
I make quite a few String Pull Spinning Tops, Finger Tops & Tippee Tops, & a few others Toys as well.
Not really into Toys, but just those few.Regards,
issatree.

I've just finished reading the book and returned it to my local library, so others should have it as well. It is not located under the general woodworking group but under the toymaking section in our library.

I found it interesting and very well written, as all of Raffan's books are. It again increased my knowledge of turning but it's not the kind that draws my fancy, may be it will later but for now I will continue with making the normal stuff, not toys.
If I do want to do some later I know that the book is available and at the same section in our library there was another book on turning toys called "Turning Vintage Toys" by Chris Reid.

I have ordered a copy. Our guild annually donates toys to charity, and I'm bad at contributing, so I reckon a book like this can't hurt. If it turns out that I don't like it, I'll ofer it to the guild library, or the toy-makers group. Thanks for posting the link.
