    Roger,
You have not answered the Moderator's explanation of the Novice title, nor my PM on the same matter, yet you continue to denigrate forum members concerning their work, and at the same time telling all and sundry how good your work is.
We have had several complaints along the lines of:
"I find the reference to the fact that there are no original ideas on the forum and that members are just copying things very insulting and off putting for all members who use this forum to show their designs and share their efforts in toy making."

So basically, learn some forum decorum and tone it all down lest we all be overwhelmed by your own opinion of yourself and your work.

    Regards,

Furthermore, you are getting very close to exceeding the bounds of our advertising rules.

I have been in direct contact with Stu,- hopefully helped solve his problems, and answered his questions,- which I originally thought this Woodworkers Forum Site was all about,- where one would receive sensible answers to one's woodworking problems, and NOT simply a site where one shows off their copied projects to others. That correct, " Copied projects," - the short time I have been on this site,- I think I have seen one original Idea, and that was from a guy in England who is an, " L " plater in toymaking, and I personally congratulate him, via this page, on his inventiveness.
*** I notice that I have been branded a, " NOVICE, " which means a, " Learner, or, " Beginner," if one has the courage to look up the meaning of the word,- yet I have been associated with The Australian Woodworker Magazine since it began back in 1985. plus design, and market my own range of Aussie Designed Woodwn Toy Plans, which are slowly gaining international sales, especially in the land of, " Uncle Sam. " ( not bad for a, " Novice. " ), which brings me to this question, " How come I am considered a Novice, at what I do,- when I can do stuff YOU cannot ??
Who is the real NOVICE ? Have a think about it,- A good, long think !!!

What a pretentious person you are. A legend in your own lunch-box.

I see you've been given advice by a moderator and and an administrator of the forums, yet you choose to ignore it. But you were probably too busy being exceptionally fantastic to take any notice of them.

You do some nice work, even so, there are those who could run rings around you, on these forums. Yet you chose to denigrate them because you are so wonderful and no one else could ever be as good as you. How rude.

"which brings me to this question" If you're so bloody wonderful why can't you write a post that's readable instead of a one paragraph blob. The must have loved you at the magazine.

How many soap boxes have you made. You've certainly used a few here.

You may find the odd person who will be in awe of you, but that's only because everyone looks bigger when they're on a box. Your winning ways aren't and what I have read in your posts here definitely is not the way to win friends and influence people.

I know of some real TOP Class Toy Makers, and Model Makers who are heaps better than I will EVER be,- and we are best of friends too. They ALL have their own original Work. I personally recomend these people to anyone for their quality Workmanship, & skill they show in their ideas & products. One guy sells his Model trucks for about $300.- $500 each,- and GIVES all the money to Children with Cancer, and other Horrid diseases. Another mate is one of South Australia's Top Scroll Sawers,- who has won numerous awards at Regional, & State, & National Shows, etc. He gets talking Scroll sawing, & I cannot escape,- already discovered that!!! Over in Sydney there is a very nice Lady Toy-maker / Designer who also has published her work over the years,- does very skilled, & beautiful work too. Have another mate up Brisbane way who has customers worldwide,- queuing up for his designs,- They are all heaps better than me, and not one of them is on this site,- they have ALL had a look over it,- and every one of them has given me the ," thumbs Down, " about it,- one actually called me an, "idiot," for joining !!!! "
IF you think I have a big flash house, or a luxury motor vehicle, etc,- you can think again,- This house is some 60 yrs old, Rental property, Fibro - Asbestos, no modern aircon, or heating,( cook in the summer - freeze in winter ), everything is secondhand,- even most of my tools, and the timber too. Motor vehicle,- 1990 Falcon XF Falcon Ute. with about 400,thous K's on the clock. Got a few rattles, & squeaks, does me. Even this computer, camera, & all is secondhand,- got it from an old guy who got it for a present, from his family,- and as he had no idea what to do with it,- he gave it to me,- 4 years ago. Bit slow, but it does me.
I know I am NOT welcome on this site,- already figured that out, therefore If you want to ban me, go right ahead,- I don't care. I have my friends, The only people who have had the decency to be nice, decent, & friendly are Stu, & Crowie,- they are welcome at my place any day. Now I have some work to do to try to earn some money to pay Bill, as pension don't go very far at all.

They ALL have their own original Work. There is nothing new in woodwork. Designs are influenced by that which has been seen or done by others. It may be done a little differently but in the end it still has to look like the article represented.

I personally recomend these people to anyone for their quality Workmanship, & skill they show in their ideas & products.

One guy sells his Model trucks for about $300.- $500 each,- and GIVES all the money to Children with Cancer, and other Horrid diseases. You would be surprised at the contributions given by many members here to various charities. It is endemic of woodworkers in general.

Another mate is one of South Australia's Top Scroll Sawers,- who has won numerous awards at Regional, & State, & National Shows, etc. He gets talking Scroll sawing, & I cannot escape,- already discovered that!!! That is another trait of woodworkers generally.

" I do not know why. Perhaps they thought that they could offer nothing or they thought this was beneath them or perhaps they like keeping their ideas to themselves. We can't please everybody all the time but most members (referring to whole gambit here) feel that they learn something or can contribute something back to the membership as a whole. Nobody knows everything and the knowledge and the talent on this board sometimes astounds me.

Someone will have an answer to the most obscure problem or question.

Even this computer, camera, & all is secondhand,- got it from an old guy who got it for a present, from his family,- and as he had no idea what to do with it,- he gave it to me,- 4 years ago. Bit slow, but it does me. Nobody has questioned you about what you have or have not nor do I think anybody is worried about it.

Woodworking is a great leveller and you are judged on words and deeds not whether you live in a cave and use an adze or whether you live on millionaires row with all the latest all singing, all dancing robotics.

It who you are as person and what you do that people are interested in.

I know I am NOT welcome on this site,- already figured that out, That is not quite true. Everyone is welcome here but your personality comes through in posts.

There is pride in everyone and most like to show off their talents but too much too soon gets tiresome.

To have a go at something like being classed as a Novice without understanding the way this community works gets up a lot of peoples noses.

When it was explained why you did not offer an apology or acknowledgement that you understood.

The mods and admins work hard to make sure that everyone is welcome and when they go out of their way to explain something and it is not at least a "thanks" they get cheesed.

    People tire of it.

Would you like someone to visit you and then criticise your shed for the whole world to hear?

therefore If you want to ban me, go right ahead,- I don't care. That will not happen unless you really overstep the mark.

I have my friends, The only people who have had the decency to be nice, decent, & friendly are Stu, & Crowie,- they are welcome at my place any day. Now I have some work to do to try to earn some money to pay Bill, as pension don't go very far at all.
    Roger
I think that you are mistaken there.

Just let people judge you on the help that I am sure you can give them.
