    Default G`day all

Even though I`ve just officially joined, have been periodically watching for some years. (Just acquired a computer thing) It beats the local Neighbourhood Centre one, and it is not by the hour.

First heard of the Forum from nice lady in a Paint Shop. She uses it all the time to answer queries by blokes, so when she mentioned it some years back, I tried it out, and have been sneaking a look, as I`ve said, for some years.

I`m an oldie with a dirty, dusty shed, just big enough for me to get the car in when a storm is coming, with a bit of well practiced re-arrangeing, and so sawdusty, the missus doesn`t often come in.

I`m self taught, still have all my fingers, and over the past 20/30 years have made the family anything from cots, change tables, blanket boxes, kid`s toys, Cassette towers, Video boxes, you name it, almost, I`ve bumbled my way through.

In latter years, I`ve discovered what a bandsaw can do, so I`m slowly emptying the shed of the wonderous bits of timber I`ve accumulated during the years with little jewellery boxes ranging in size from just beg enough to put one set of small earings in to four and five drawer free form things, only to give them away to barmaids and nice ladies, and some groups for lucky door prizes, just for the fun of it. so thought I`better sign up properly.

    Thanks for accepting me

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Ted".
There are quite a few members in the Wide Bay area.
Nothing wrong with being an older bloke and self taught; computer on the other hand sometimes are a pain.
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
    Enjoy the forum.
    Enjoy your woodwork.
    Cheers crowie
