    Default Evening everyone

Well, I just bit the bullet and bought a turning outfit...Brand new to this so we'll see how it goes...After reading hundreds of articles I decided to go ahead and spend he money on the front end on a nice lathe....Most recommendations pointed to the Delta 46-460...Got it, and went ahead and bought a barracude chuck kit, and a pen mandrel, blanks and a few pens and keychains...Also bought some, hopefully descent, tools and a sharpener for my delta VS grinder. I'm realllllly looking forward to playing around on this thing!!! I'm sure I'll be here asking several questoins over the next few months because I'm sure there is a pretty steep learning curve...I went ahead and bought a 6" bowl blank as well...I'm thinking I had better save it for later though.
    Take care,
    Kevin.

Welcome to the forum. I too have just started turning by restoring an old lathe. So far lots of fun and so much to learn with the tools that I have.
