Thread: G'day from a brisbane boaty

Hi all

I'm new on this site, wish i had found it earlier.

Well i'm from brisbane and i'm very much into my traditional boat building, i've build a 22ft trailer sailer, a few kayaks, canoe's and now a little 2.4mtr sailer to teach the missus how to sail.

I've also made some of my furniture at home (though i don't have much of a say in what i build, Emma knows what she wants ) but could certainly do with some advice, i am no expert by any stretch of the imagination.

Boat building and general woodwork has been a passion of mine for years now, so i found a place in the industry with Boatcraft Pacific here in Brisbane and now i get to travel to the boat shows across Australia like the hobart boat festival, the sanctury cove int. boat show, goolwa boat show as well as as many of the working with wood festivals (my favorite) as i can get too.

I've just arrived on this site but it looks like theres a wealth of knowledge to take advantage of here, it's great to see people who are passionate about there woodwork... there's too much plastic in this world.
