Default G'day from country N.S.W ...KELLY COUNTRY

Hi ppl's Iam new to this forum long time looker first time user .

Iam an Ex soldier 6th Battalion and SASR 15 years Iam retired after a training accident (That Blackhawk Incident some years back you may have heard of it) I spent 12 months in hospital had a spinal fusion and was taught how to do basic things like walking again.I was medically discharged with a full Military pension I was only a young bloke when it happened but the military is still very much in my blood.

I have always been interested in Woodwork I like to build my own furniture and renovate I have a new shed that my wife brought me 10 x 6 Metre's so I can do jobs for my wife and find a new home for all my tools ,I also collect remote control cars I have over 200 many still New In Box Unbuilt ...Dont ask LOL I suspect because the house was getting full of RC Cars was another reason my wife brought me a shed ...Every guy needs a shed .My wife insisted on an intercom for the shed I thought it was a good idea at the time I could call her for a brew ....Bad idea it never stops buzzing with requests can 'Can you make this,Can you find this for me.

I live very isolated in country N.S.W in a town population 350 huge farming country I keep to myself Iam rather anti social you could say I saw a lot of bad things while serving in the Army and still find it hard to adjust to life .

I pride myself on keeping my word a man's word is his bond and cannot tolerate double standards.

Iam married to a lovely woman who puts up with my moody temprement .I have 4 kids all adults now still have a 21 year old daughter living at home trying to marry her off to a local rich farmer any takers you must have a dowry of at least 20 power tools (That I dont have) and have a large property so I can indulge in my other passion Shooting.

Anyways I intend to use this forum regulary as it seems to be a good place to get advice and have a general chit chat .

Thats about it gave you my life story anyways

See you all in the forums

    Regards Stuart ...AKA Swarm

G'day Stuart. Welcome to the best site on the web, and I'm certain you will get any help you may ask for with woodwork, or other matters. We are lucky enough to have a mighty cross-section of inteligent Members.
I understand your attitude, having spent 24 years in the infantry myself, and going through many days of unwanted attention by that 'black dog' - I've found relief in the last year or so, but did suffer for many years.

    Welcome to the forum.

Very interesting read. One bit of advise. Do not put the RC cars in the shed unless they are isolated from dust.

I originally had my fishing gear in the shed. Now they are all in the house, last thing I wanted to have was grinding noice when winding in the bait.
